A review of Day Care Deception. By Brian Robertson.

We are currently witnessing a grand social experiment, the results of which are not fully in as yet. But the data that is coming in is not good. We are allowing an entire generation of babies and young children to be raised by strangers. While adults might benefit from such arrangements, the well-being of children is being put at risk.

That is the sobering conclusion of a new volume by a research fellow at the Washington-based Family Research Council. With extensive documentation Robertson demonstrates how extended periods of day care are harming our children.

Robertson shows how feminist ideology, coupled with a sympathetic media and a cowardly academy, have managed to convince many that parenting is too important to be left to mere parents, that bureaucrats know better than mum and dad, and that day care centers are in fact good for children.

All three of these emphases are incorrect. But the growth of the day care industry is hard to counter. In the US, federal subsidies to the child care market rocketed from $2 billion in 1965 to $15 billion in 2000. And as more and more mothers enter the paid work force (most because of economic necessity, not personal preference) the day care juggernaut races onwards.

These social trends have resulted in a devaluing of motherhood, a weakening of the family unit, and most importantly, negative outcomes for our children. The harmful effects of extended periods of day care include higher rates of illness, greater chance of sexual abuse, higher rates of aggression, and greater risk of antisocial personality disorders.

The emotional, psychological and physical harm to children who spend lengthy amounts of time in day care has been well documented for some decades now. Yet the social science evidence is often attacked, covered up or ignored. Those who try to present the evidence are personally abused and vilified. It is just not politically correct to tell the truth on this issue.

The story of researcher Jay Belsky is a case in point. As an early proponent of day care, he was the darling of feminists and academia. But his research caused him to have a change of heart, and when he started to publish data showing negative consequences, he was furiously opposed.

Although he sought to be as cautious and restrained as possible, the child care establishment and its supporters distorted his findings and blackballed his research. He quickly became persona non grata in the eyes of many. Robertson carefully chronicles this and similar episodes in the day care wars.

Robertson reviews the studies which show how early day care harms the mother-infant bond which is so important in a child's development. Of course defenders of day care put a different spin on the findings. Children in day care are not more aggressive, simply more "independent". And they even try to say that if such aggression exists, it is a virtue, not a vice.

Moreover, they argue that children do better socially and educationally when in day care. But the solid research on these matters points in the other direction. Robertson cites many studies showing how children are disadvantaged on the academic and social levels, when kept in day care.

He also notes that when a study does come out which suggests that children do well, even better, in day care, it is always front page news. But when the more numerous and reliable studies come along, warning of the negative consequences, they are buried in the back pages of the press, if they appear at all.

Robertson competently takes on a number of myths about day care. For example, he challenges the myth that the poor need, and want, day care. He documents how in the US, the families most likely to use center-based day care are those earning $75,000 a year. Surveys show that the vast majority of low-income mums prefer to have their children stay at home in their early years. He even demonstrates that mums who want to put their children into day care are "atypical".

The fact that so many parents do resort to day care is evidence of economic policies that make it very hard on single-income families. Instead of putting more money into day care, we should be restructuring our economic policies so that those families who choose to let their infants stay at home in the early years can do so.

But much of the modern corporate world is in league with feminist ideology here. Both identify women's interests with "independence from husbands and family, and a corresponding greater dependence on corporation and government". Earlier feminists recognised the importance of the home and of motherhood. Modern feminists do not, and much of the free market is happy to side with the new version of things.

Thus Robertson calls for an overhaul of both government and corporate practices, to reflect the desire of most mothers to be at home with their babies. His concluding chapter offers suggestions on how parents can reclaim parenting. Social and taxation policies must be reworked to allow for genuine parental choice. Those parents who wish to look after their own children should be given the financial incentives to do so.

This book provides the data and rationale for why we need to rethink our priorities and revamp of policies. Bureaucrats and others will not like it, but most parents will welcome it. Let the debate continue.

The reviewer is right - the economic and social policies in the industrialized world are set up specifically to estrange the children from their parents, by creating a situation in which mothers MUST work. And, accordingly children are raised by strangers who may be kind-hearted and do well with children, but alas, they are not family, nor are they friends. This is part of the agenda (see Agenda 21) of the globalists to wean us all of family loyalty.

Which makes me think they got all this from the Ministry of Truth (1984 anyone?)... it is in lockstep!

I encourage every person who is able to work from home, be as self-sufficient as possible (we all know that is limited by design), and to home-school your children. This will ensure that they are not indoctrinated, abused and will be taught the morals that you ascribe to. YOU are the best parent, YOU are the best teacher, after all, God gave them to YOU, right???

The David Ray Hate Crimes Prevention Act now before the House of Representatives assaults America. Americans have repeatedly rejected hate speech bans, and American courts have repeatedly struck them down as unconstitutional. But hate law advocates work relentlessly to defy this verdict. They wish to enforce a political and social orthodoxy, banning viewpoints they find intolerable.

Hate law advocates want to punish social and religious conservatives as a San Diego high schooler was punished for wearing an anti-sodomy T-shirt to his school's Gay-Straight Alliance "Day of Silence" in 2004. The teen's moral beliefs were censored while the speech of homosexual advocates was promoted. (His attorneys are now suing the school district, and the case may even be heard by the Supreme Court.)

Hate laws would enforce selected political expression in this way across the nation, banning much religious and conservative speech. Hate laws in Europe, Canada, and Australia are unevenly enforced, utilized to silence not hurtful speech but certain viewpoints. These laws especially target the one place where freedom of speech is now most widely valued and used: the internet.

"Anti-hate" Laws Shatter Internet Freedom

While Dutch authorities ignore calls to prosecute Madonna for rocking out while hanging from a cross under a crown of thorns, Amsterdam remains home to some of the planet's busiest speech suppressors. They couldn't care less about Madonna's blasphemy. These leftists mostly want to silence conservative Christians, racialists, and Holocaust reductionists -- those who question the accuracy of the 6-million figure of Holocaust dead. In the Dutch capital, the International Network against Cyberhate (INACH), an ADL/B'nai B'rith creation, seeks to control speech on the internet through legislation, surveillance, and propaganda.

The ADL has explored various ways (including software and civil suits) to control cyber speech they dislike. Their efforts have been frustrated in the US, where the internet remains defiantly free. But if the USA passes a federal hate law, we'll quickly join nations like China in censoring the internet. Like political dissidents stolen away by police in the night, offending sites will simply disappear from search engines. We know, because this has already happened.

In 2001, Yahoo was fined in France for offering national Socialist memorabilia on its internet auction site and allowing users to access Holocaust reductionism sites. Yahoo was ordered to remove the Nazi memorabilia, and by 2005 their fine was $15 million and growing at $15,000 a day, according to the Associated Press. Although the litigants who originally pressed charges weren't hurrying to collect, Yahoo got the message. Attorney E. Randol Schoenberg (who represented the original claimants) said Yahoo removed much of the Nazi stuff even from their American site.

In 2002, Harvard researchers Jonathan Zittrain and Benjamin Edelman reported evidence that Google (a dizzyingly successful media giant with shares now worth $500) engages in censorship, too. Their report, "Localized Google Search Result Exclusions," says Google actively removes websites from its search engine. It lists a hundred sites that can be accessed through Google in the USA but not in Germany or France, nations with federal hate laws banning certain speech.

No, the removed sites don't sell pics of naked children in handcuffs. Apparently, it's more important to censor racially motivated political groups or anyone who questions the establishment's version of the Holocaust. Google censors these sites because of French and German government regulations about "hate speech."

The content of censored websites like Stormfront was never debated in court, because Google didn't challenge the laws. They simply acquiesced, silently deleting the sites from their search engine. A Google user would never know his web access (and, thus, his mind) was being controlled this way.

It's easy to see how a federal hate law in the United States could quickly deny access to a lot of websites. If Holocaust reductionism became illegal as "hate speech" in America, for instance, websites that contain that speech would quickly disappear from US search engines. Google's record in France and Germany shows how much they value the free flow of ideas.

Ban Speech? Court Says No, No, No!

Hate laws subvert the precedent of American judicial history. The US Supreme Court has repeatedly upheld the rights of Americans, left and right, to make use of speech which most find offensive.

Speech ban scholar Samuel Walker names the Supreme Court's 1931 Stromberg decision as "the first meaningful protection of speech deemed dangerous or offensive by the majority" (Hate Speech, p29). In this case, the Supreme Court overturned a lower court decision indicting a 19-year-old girl named Yetta Stromberg for her leadership at a Communist kids' camp. The Supreme Court said we must protect "the opportunity for free political discussion," which they called a "fundamental principle of our constitutional system."

Two weeks after the idecision, the Supreme Court came to the rescue of free speech a second time. They upheld the right of free expression of Jay Near, who published a small newspaper, The Saturday Press, that attacked local officials and blamed Jews for social evils like moonshine stills. The Supreme Court upheld Near's right to freedom of the press.

In these pivotal decisions, the Supreme Court recognized that freedom of speech is essential to democracy; it is often the only recourse for political, religious, or social minorities who want to agitate for change. Democracies can turn into the "tyranny of the majority" unless the expression of minority viewpoints is protected. This protection must be extended even to those opinions considered most obnoxious, despicable, or even dangerous to the mainstream.

In the 1940s and 50s, the American Jewish Congress was the prime agitator behind a push for hate speech bans; the AJC called for the criminalization of "group libel." But their efforts failed again.

When American courts refused to criminalize politically incorrect speech, hate law advocates took another tactic. In the 1980s, they moved the push for speech bans onto college campuses, blowing an arctic freeze across the one place-the university-where expression was historically most free. Throughout the 80s, "hostile workplace environment" law and campus speech codes were highly effective tools for stifling free expression in American workplaces and universities.

In the 1990s, the Jewish Anti-Defamation League continued to work at enacting "anti-hate" law speech bans. Avoiding the "group libel" approach of the 40s and 50s, speech ban advocates began to describe hate speech as a form of discrimination. They said the expression of bias, prejudice or hatred was a "speech act" that caused substantive damage to historically marginalized groups, like Jews and homosexuals. They said the First Amendment must be balanced with the 14th Amendment, which promises equal protection to all under the law. Minorities, they said, need special protection from verbal violence to be free from discrimination-only the shelter of speech bans can provide them with "equal treatment." By 2000, ADL had gotten hate laws passed in about 45 U.S. states.

If The David Ray Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2007 is signed into law, the ADL will have finally realized their dream of a federal hate law. America will lose our unique and most precious treasure: our right to freedom of speech.

If private companies like Google won't protect our freedom, we must! The time to protest hate laws is now. At this moment ADL's federal hate bill, H.R. 254, could quickly speed through the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime to a vote on the floor of the House. A LETTER ADDRESSED TO "THE SHEEPLE" FROM "THE GLOBALIST NEW WORLD ORDER"*

Dearest Citizen of the World,

I believe the time has come to reveal to you some of the perplexities you have faced in recent decades. It is well for you to understand some of these things so that you might know how to behave in the New Order now taking shape on the earth. We want you to be able to become fully involved and integrated into our new society. After all, this is for your best interest if you will do.

First of all, it is well that you understand some of our purposes so that you may more fully co-operate. I cannot tell you the hard times you will face if you resist us. We have ways of dealing with resisters. I am only telling you this now, since it is much too late to turn things around. The days of putting a stop to us have long since past. We have full control of the earth and its finance, along with the major media propaganda, and there is simply no way any nation or power can defeat us.

We have eyes in every level of government in every nation of the world. We know what is being planned, for our ears and eyes are ever present.

State secrets are fully known to us. China recently accused the media in the U.S. of lying about Kosovo. Oh, you silly people, of course we lie. In this way we can keep the people unbalanced and always facing controversy which is very helpful to us. Have you not seen the talk show spectacle? Some of you believe we are the liberals and the good people are the conservatives. In reality, both serve our purposes. Each camp merely serves with the stamp of our approval but they are not allowed to present the real issues. By creating controversy on all levels, no one knows what to do. So, in all of this confusion, we go ahead and accomplish what we want with no hindrance.

Consider the President of the United States. Even though he regularly breaks every known check on his power, no one can stop him. He goes ahead and does whatever we want him to do anyway. The Congress has no power to stop him.

He does what we want since he knows if he does not, because of his rather dark character, we can have him removed in a moment's time. Is not that a rather brilliant strategy on our part? You cannot take us to court because you can't see us and the courts are our servants as well. We run everything, yet, you do not know who to attack. I must say this hidden hand is wonderfully devised and without any known historical precedent on this scale. We rule the world and the world cannot even find out who is ruling them.

This is truly a wonderful thing. In our media we present before you exactly what it is we want you to do. Then, as if in a flash, our little servants obey. We can send American or European troops to wherever we like, whenever we like, and for whatever purpose we like, and you dutifully go about our business. How much more evidence do you need? We can make you desire to leave your homes and family and go to war merely at our command. We only need to present some nonsense to you from the president's desk or on the evening news and we can get you all fired up to do whatever we like. You can do nothing but what we put before you.


YOUR VAIN RESISTANCE

When any of you seek to resist us, we have ways of making you look ridiculous as we have done with your militia movement. We have delighted to use this movement to show the world how impotent any resistance is. They look so silly marching around with their guns as if they were some match for our military. Look at what we did near Waco. Did the Davidian's little store of weapons help them? We have generously taxed you and used that money to make such sophisticated weapons you can in no way compete. Your own money has served to forge the chains we bind you with, since we are in control of all money.

Some of you think you may escape by buying some land in the country and growing a garden. Let me remind you that you still pay us ground rent. Oh, you may call it property taxes, but it still goes to us. You see, you need money no matter what you do. If you fail to pay your ground rent to us, we will take your land and sell it to someone who will pay us. Do you think we cannot do this?

And with your ground rent we pay for the indoctrination of your children in the public schools we have set up. We want them to grow up well trained into the system of our thinking. Your children will learn what we want them to learn, when we want them to learn it, and you pay for it through your ground rent.

Those funds are also used for other projects we have in mind and our contractors are paid handsomely for their work. You may doubt that we own your children, or have such control, but you will find that we do. We can declare that you abuse your children when you spank them and have them confiscated.

If they do not show up for school indoctrination, we can accuse you of neglect, thereby, giving them to us. Your children are not yours. They are ours. You must inoculate them, you must bring them to our hospitals if we decree or we will take them from you. You know this and we know this.

Through our electronic commerce we are able to see where you are, what you are buying and how much you have to buy things with. Where do you suppose we come up with our monthly financial statistics? Through the Internet and other sources we can even know how you think and what you say. It is not especially important to us what you believe as long as you do what we say. Your beliefs are nonsense anyway. But if you think you have a following, and we perceive that you might be somewhat dangerous to our agenda, we have ways to deal with you.

We have a Pandora's box of mischief with which to snare you. We can have you in court so long you will never get out. We can easily drain away all your assets over one pretext or another. We have an inexhaustible fund with which to draw from to pay our lawyers. These lawyers are paid by you in the form of taxes.

You do not have this vast supply of wealth. We know how to divide and conquer. Have we not brought down rulers of countries through our devices? Do you think your tiny self will be any match for us?

YOUR VAIN ORGANIZATIONS

And, let us consider your religions and the "moral majority." The "moral majority" is neither moral nor is it in the majority. We have delighted to use this wet noodle of a movement to make ridiculous the Christian faith. The silly men who run that organization always end up with egg on their faces. We have always put them in defense of themselves as we have so successfully done with the NRA. We can make it seem by our media propaganda that the National Rifle Association is actually the New Radical Attackers.

Have we not turned the American conservative movement on its ear? If it serves our purposes we can use the conservatives to turn the liberals on their ear. It makes no difference to us but it serves to make you believe there are two sides struggling for their particular position. This helps to make things seem fair and free since everyone has a voice. Actually, there is only one side now with all kinds of masks on, but you are unable to penetrate our purposes.

You see, we can do whatever we like and you can do nothing about it. Does it not seem reasonable that you simply obey and serve us? Otherwise, you get eaten up in the resistance you suppose will liberate you.

You cannot be liberated. Imagine how you can. We supply your fuel for your cars. We can turn it off whenever we like claiming that there is some sort of fuel shortage. What if your car breaks down? You cannot get parts for it without us. We supply all the money you use. At any whim of our desire we can stop the money supply or cause a complete crash all together. We can then order the president to declare all money worthless and that we will have to have new money. All of your stashes of cash will go up in smoke in a moment's time.

Don't you need food? If necessary, we can cause a trucker's strike which would stop deliveries of food to your local store. We can starve you whenever we like. You only have food because we have provided it to you from our table.

During the great depression we controlled the food. We heaped mountains of food behind fences and let it rot. The hungry were then made to work in our labour camps even though there was enough and more to feed them. Do you really think you can beat us? You say you will hoard gold coins so you will still have money in the time of the crash. We can simply pass a law which outlaws the possession of gold as we have done in the past. If we find gold in your possession, we would simply confiscate it and put you in prison for breaking the law.

While in prison you would be required to work in one of our prison industries. We have so formed a picture of the labour camps in our prisons these days that no one seems to object to them. We tell people that murderers should pay for their own keep.

No one seems to consider that we have the power to put tomato growers there also. We can pass laws that prohibit gardens and then make up some scientific reason why you may only buy food from our sources. If someone sees you growing tomatoes, they will report you to us and then we will have you in our fields working for us. Oh, silly nationalists, there is no escape for you, for since long before you were born, we were planning your capture. Your teachers and ministers have been forming your thoughts for us for generations now. You have no idea how to pull out of our influence short of suicide. Go ahead and commit suicide, it will only help us to deal with the excessive population. You cannot hurt us, find us, or even imagine what we are up to.

I am throwing you these few crumbs only so that you may, if you have a little good sense, obey and follow our orders.

YOUR CONTROLLED MIND

We run Hollywood. The movies such as Terminator and Armageddon, along with a great host of others, were simply created to get you thinking according to our directions. You have been made to delight in violence so that when we send you off to kill some bad man we have put before you, you move without a whimper.

We have placed violent arcade games in your malls to prepare your young minds in the art of battle. We have made you to view our armies and police as the good forces and you submit to things that were unthinkable just a few decades ago. Our artful programs, are all designed to help you submit and even help the New World Order.

Star Trek, and other such creations, have taught you to simply obey orders from the new international rulers. Oh, silly people, you thought you were being entertained, while you were actually being educated. Dare I use the words, "brainwashed" or "mind control?" By the way, have you seen the new Star Wars?

What a masterpiece of mental manipulation. Humans confer with nondescript beasts of all shapes and sizes and they confer in English. I wonder where those space beasts learned English. Oh, the simpleness of the mind of the citizen. He never considers he is being taken into fairyland. We have placed advertisements for Star Wars almost everywhere you go. You will find them in Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Taco Bell and a host of our institutions of commerce. There is something we want you to learn from this movie. Or, perhaps it could be said, there is something we do not want you to learn, from Episodes 4-6. Either way, we will have what we want in the whole affair.

Of course, to keep you off guard we have instructed our elected officials to appear to be correcting the evil of our violence. President Clinton is now speaking against violence in Hollywood movies. This will not solve the problem, but will only make the people believe the problem is being worked on. Sex and violence are the very best powers to use to help us gain our advantage. How the people loathe to give up their sex and violence, so we place all they want before them. In this way, we keep them so occupied they do not have the integrity or brain power to deal with the really important matters which are left entirely in our hands. President Clinton has been very helpful to us. We knew of what character he was before we placed him as president. Exposing him was very helpful in adjusting the moral habits of the youth downward. This is to our advantage.

Even more agreeable to us were the vain efforts of those who thought they could remove him against our will. He is useful to us and he will not be removed by anyone until we are ready to have him removed. Excuse me if I seem to be mocking your system of beliefs, but they are rather outdated. Have you no eyes to see your vain liberties and your righteous pontifications are nothing before us? You can only do what we say you can do. We remove presidents when we are ready and the leader we set up will be there until it serves us to have another.

At that time we place our proposed leader before you and you vote for what we want. In that way we give you the vain voting exercise in the belief you had something to do with placing your president in office.

We use the nations for what we want to use them for. Everyone knows that they must yield to us or die. Fortunately, we have had a few resisters such as Saddam and Milosevic that have been helpful in showing the world leaders what we will do to them if they do not submit.

There is only glory in following our purposes and doing what we say. If one does not, there will be such a sad and tragic result. I would really have you spared of such an end. But, then, again, if you are not spared, it is of no consequence to us. We will use you to alleviate some of the overpopulation problem.


YOUR SILLY REBELLION AGAINST OUR DOMINION

Some of you have thought you could stop us by placing a bomb in one of our abortion clinics or in a government building. Silly souls! How can that hurt us?

All that does is give us an example to use so that we might place more controls and heavy burdens on the population. We love it when you rebel and blow something up. You are our reason for making more laws against all those things which might contribute to your freedom from us. If someone did not blow something up on occasion, we would have no justification in placing more hedges about you. Can't you see how impossible it is for you to resist us? The more you wriggle, the more we squeeze.

Our kingdom is the kingdom of money. Excuse me, but I must confess that we are the rulers of the kingdom of non-money. You must see the humour in that statement. We have given you a piece of paper or some numbers on a computer screen that we have termed money. It is backed up by nothing and proven by nothing but what we say it is. We create it from nothing, we print it, we loan it, we give it its value, we take its value away. All things that have to do with money are in our hands. Think of it, what is it that you can do against us without money? If you try to resist, we can cancel your credit or freeze your accounts. Your cash is easily confiscated. We have made so many rules in the realm of living that you cannot live without money.

Camp on government land and you must move in two weeks. You cannot grow much of a garden in two weeks. Many of our wilderness trails are entered by permit only. We have passed laws that do not allow you to live in trailers over a certain period without moving to another location. Have you not thought it ridiculous that we will allow a man to live in a box full time but we will not allow a man to live in an RV full time unless he is in a taxpaying campground?

OUR UNFATHOMABLE MYSTERIES

Our recent war in Serbia has many purposes to it but we do not speak of these things openly. We let the talk show hosts blather all sorts of nonsense but none of it touches the core. First of all, there is a wealth of natural resources in Kosovo that we must have complete control of. Kosovo has large supplies of uranium in its soil and uranium is very helpful to our regime. Also, it suits us to keep all such minerals out of the hands of potential enemies.

Milosevic has not been helpful in giving those resources into our hands so we simply make things difficult for him until he does. Even now victory over Yugoslavia is imminent.

We are reducing that proud nation to the level of humility we require from all people. After the war, if Mr. Milosevic does not sufficiently humble himself, we will take him to the world court charged with war crimes. We made up that term; rather ingenious, don't you think? How could there be such a thing as a war crime? The very nature of war is that the rules are off. It is so entertaining to watch the nations try to fight war according to the laws we have placed before them. The only war crime there really is only involves the crime of being against us. Anyone against us is violating our law. As you have seen when someone is for us we do not care what they do. Was not Nelson Mandela a bomb-toting terrorist who killed many of his enemies? We made a hero of him.

We observe no laws when it comes to war. We do what we want, when we want and where we want. We can starve nations to death, we can ruin civilians and any other horror for which we would take our enemies to court. Look at our example.

We bomb Serbia out of its wits, bomb Kosovans out of their homes, poison their rivers and streams, turn off their electricity making a grand crisis in that country, and then we masterfully make it appear it is all Mr. Milosevic's fault and he needs to go to court for it. It is the same way we made our inferno at Waco look like Mr. Koresh's fault. Then there was our chief villain, Saddam with all of his weapons of mass destruction. Bad men are a dime a dozen and we can conjure one up whenever it suits us. This is really quite funny when you think of it. I am not one who is usually given to humour, but I do catch myself laughing sometimes at the absolute absurdity of the notions we place before you and you readily accept.

Do you wonder that the leaders of the world tremble at our presence? They know they have no power except the power we give them. We have no fear of Russia or China for we are already in full control of their system of things. China knows that we can freeze any number of its corporations in America and all of its capital at the stroke of a pen.

We want you to be in the system. When you are buying a house, we not only receive the tax revenue to use for our purposes, but we gain large increases from the interest on the loan. You may pay for your house two or three times over from the interest alone. The interest is also taxed which is again placed for use in those sectors of influence we choose.

We do not want you to escape free and that is why we have made it as we have. You are our property. We will not permit you to buy or sell unless you submit to our mark of authority. If you go to court against us, we will wear you out there and in the end you will lose. If you use violence, we will end up having you in one of our labour camps, more specifically called prison industries. You need our money, our entertainments, our fuel, and our utilities to function and if you don't have them, you feel deprived. By this, you are made to yield to our will.

Part 1 of this article, "The Unholy Alliance: Christianity & The NWO" dealt generally with the relationship between this nations' leading evangelicals, Rev Sun Myung Moon, and the U.S. Intelligence community as strange bedfellows. This short follow up will attempt to go deeper into the makeup of these organizations, and how they work together. Every attempt to document the claims, statements and facts herein have been made so as not to unjustly accuse or impugn the integrity of those mentioned. But in the end, if such an unholy alliance exists, there are manifold truths which likely will never surface to the light of day for exposure and examination. We will deal with what can be verified be reasonable sources. Amazingly, most of these organizations are almost entirely made up of the same individuals. Trinity Broadcasting Network, Christian Broadcasting and most leading evangelicals/pastors in this unique electronic limelight are also directly associated with these groups, or have been in the past. The vast majority of these men have spent decades making forays into political groups of this nature. The question is, what are they doing? Where would these 'Moon money men' lead the flock they say God has charged them with as shepherds? Is it untoward to ask such questions, to scrutinize their political involvement with Moon? We think not. In fact, we feel it is imperative. We have already shown that some evangelicals have unabashedly admitted Moon sponsorship, such as Jerry Falwell. It seems that most though try to sweep this dirt under the rug. Is their ultimate goal to lead the religious right blindly and willingly into the NWO, something openly hailed by preachers and president's alike? Billy Graham In 1992, broadcast across the US on Graham's radio program "Embrace America 2000," after Bush Sr. gave his now infamous New World Order Speech, the Rev. Billy Graham said that we should "embrace" this "New World Order". In Erwin Wilsons book, "The Assimilation of Evangelist Billy Graham into the Roman Catholic Church" the renowned Bob Jones who wrote the forward said, " "Some of us who grieved over Graham's first downward steps toward compromise with apostasy and biblical unbelief knew that he was pursuing a direction from which there would be no turning back. While we grieved over him and prayed for him, we had to warn men against his ministry as we had warned Billy against his direction." Protestant Church Life Magazine quoted Graham in its Sept. 29, 1956 issue, 'Referring to the Billy Graham New York Crusade scheduled for May, 1957, Dr. Graham said: "We're coming to New York not to clean it up, but to get people to dedicate themselves to God and to send them on to their own churches -- Catholic, Protestant or Jewish." This has remained the practice of Graham to this day. The Charlotte Observer reported on a press release of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, where Billy Graham lashes out at Southern Baptists who desire to evangelize Jews for Christ. Graham makes it clear that he firmly opposes "proselytizing" the Jews; Billy Graham's unbiblical teaching is that, if you are a Jew, you are already part of the Body of Christ, even if you reject Jesus. All Jews, Graham states "are engrafted into the Christian Church." And yet, many of Graham's past statements have proved to be antisemitic, as recently embarrassing Nixon White house tapes have revealed. In 1982, Billy Graham was awarded the Templeton Prize for "progress in religion", a cash reward of roughly 1 Million dollars. Graham in turn endorsed Sir John Marks Templeton's books in "Christianity Today" magazine. Templeton is a universalist (1), just like Moon, preaching/teaching the unity and unification of all world religions. Other recipients of the Templeton award have been Charles Colson (1993) and Bill Bright (1996), founder of Campus Crusade for Christ. Templeton's New Age unification principles and teachings were introduced dramatically into the Christian mainstream by Robert Schuller in 1986, who continues to endorse the man and his doctrines. For decades Graham has offered a confusing doctrinal stance. Billy Graham said, "I found that my beliefs are essentially the same as those of orthodox Catholics. We only differ on some matters of later church tradition. I find that my beliefs are essentially the same as those of orthodox Roman Catholics" (Jan 1978, McCall's Magazine). In the book "Billy Graham, A Parable of American Righteousness" by Marshal Frady, we see a very different picture of Graham. Frady has spent much time interviewing Graham, and those close to him. He documents that Graham at a New York Crusade refused to allow street people into the crusade because they were dirty, a loathsome violation of every Christian creed toward the poor, to whom the Gospel Jesus made declaration. This is tantamount to the Galatians incident in scripture when Peter, fearing the reproach of certain Judaisers of wealth and status, withdrew himself from associating with gentiles, and the Apostle Paul had to oppose him to his face publicly, "for he was to be blamed" (Galatians 2:11, The New Testament). With the release of the Nixon tapes we see a very shaky, strangely unchristian past for Graham. He is also quoted as saying, "Pope John Paul II has emerged as the greatest religious leader of the modern world and one of the greatest moral...leaders of this century." (The Saturday Evening Post, Feb, 1980.) Though Graham is stating a fact, how does it reflect on his ministry of the Gospel of Jesus Christ from a Protestant position? More examples of a homogenization of the message and messengers for the sake of public appeal. "Pope John Paul II, often called "The Marian Pope," has stirred countless millions of Europeans to have faith in strange, supernatural Marian apparitions which directly challenge the Word of God, the Supremacy and Divinity of Jesus Christ and the Scriptural means of salvation ("Messages From Heaven," Eternal Productions, http://video.labargemedia.com/html/index.htm )" In "The Deadly Deception", by Jim Shaw, an ex-33rd degree mason (Masons are believed by many to be associated with the Illuminati, and to be the driving force behind the NWO) p. 104-105, Shaw relates how Graham was present at his ceremony initiating him into the 33rd degree. Only freemasons are allowed to attend these ceremonies. Huffington house refused to publish this book until after Grahams' name was removed, and in place a simple reference to "a well known evangelist" was supplemented. Robert Schuller (Crystal Cathedral/Self-help pulpit guru), Norman Vincent Peale (Positive Thinking apostle), and Oral Roberts (Godfather of the "seed-faith" doctrines in contemporary fundamentalist-charismatic Christianity) are all admittedly 33rd degree Masons. The rites of the Masonic order, the writings of Albert Pike and the requisites for Masonic initiates are distinctly and undeniably counter to Christian doctrine and faith. He is a supporter of the National Council of Churches and the World Council of Churches, where a belief in Jesus Christ is a nonessential. He has been quoted in an interview with Robert Schuller that there are 'many paths to God' and he 'respects them all.' Of course, as was mentioned in the previous article, he participated in prayer offered up to the god of Mohammhed (Allah). At that gathering were many Jews, Muslims, Christians and many other faiths gathered together praying to the god of Islam as the God of Abraham -- a distinct moment of "unification". Is Billy Graham working toward the goal of a New World Order? Is it merely a matter of decades of compromise with the world, or something more strategic? I wrote to the Billy Graham Evangelical Ministries, to ask what moved him to participate in a prayer to the god of Mohammhed, and to date have received no answer. Tim LaHaye Tim LaHaye's relationship with Moon goes back at least 17 years. In 1985 as was reported earlier, LaHaye was addressing several hundred evangelical Christians, the flock he claims to guard and feed, and did he exhort that they draw closer to his God? No, unless his god is the Reverend Sun Myung Moon. He exhorted that they go willingly to jail with the Rev. Moon in demonstration to his imprisonment over tax fraud. (The spin on the story has been that LaHaye and others were supporting Rev. Moon's "religious freedom")

While in prison, Moon continued to spout out to the world that he is the anointed messiah, and also at that time, he pronounced a day when he claims he opened heaven. LaHaye visited him and apologized for the actions of the U.S. Government which imprisoned him. Also visiting Moon in prison was the president of one of the groups chaired by LaHaye This was the AFC (American Freedom Coalition) president, Don Sills.(Truth is my Sword' Vol 2, by Bo Hi Pak, 'The Watchman Expositor')

LaHaye is also the founder of the ACTV (American Coalition for Traditional Values). Bo Hi Pak, Moons #1 man, formerly Korean CIA and the operative that was liaison to American CIA, gave a very sizable donation to help steady the new organization, after which, LaHaye agreed to sit as a member of the board of directors for the Rev. Moon sponsored "Christian Voice" group.(Americans United For Separation of Church and State/Feb 2002) The highly influential "Left Behind" author was also associated in a group called the Council for Religious Freedom, but when it was made public that this was another Moon front, LaHaye apparently resigned from the group, though his name was not at the time stricken from their membership roster. Though LaHaye resigned, others after him signed on, continuing to bolster its credibility. These include Paul Crouch of the Trinity Broadcasting Network. Among the other bizarre goings on within the Moon/Conservative alliance, a young, black Zimbabwean claiming that he is the reincarnation of Moons dead son has also spoken at functions of the American Freedom Coalition. (CRI Journal-CRJ0092A). Moon himself has revealed that this claim of reincarnation is true. The LaHayes were also involved in a meeting sponsored by Moon in 1996, through the Family Federation for World Peace as well as the Women's Federation for World Peace (two Moon sponsored organizations), a 3 day seminar in Washington D.C., from July 31-August 2, along with several other highly visible evangelicals. Beverly LaHaye received between $80-150,000 for speaking at the event. (2) In 1999, Tim LaHaye and co-author Jerry Jenkins wrote (3) that the Catholic church was very likely the Great Harlot sitting on the beast in Revelation 17 and 18, their reason being that they believe the Catholic church may attempt to unify the worlds religions, though they wrote differently in their "Left Behind" book series. LaHaye and his family are involved directly with groups sponsored by and in some cases founded upon money from a false messiah whose objective is publicly stated, and loudly at that, for the unification of world religions. So where exactly does LaHaye stand if in doctrine he warns of unification brought about by Rome, and yet associates with the Unification Church? Rev. Moon states in his address, 'Life on Earth and in the Spirit World' : "This is why God created so many different religions: to be training grounds to make a path for every people, culture, custom, and tradition. Religions polish people to be qualified to enter the region of the original homeland. Because of humankind's many different cultural backgrounds, God sought and set the standard of comparison and has been leading the way toward one unified religious world." (4) This is rather peculiar in light of the apparent diversity of world religions in doctrine, practice and teachings, each with their own sense of exclusivity of one another, sometimes to the very inspiration of holy war. According to 'Group Watch,' a cult watchdog organization, Don Sills is another evangelical leader who stated that he would recruit members from a group directly associated with Rev. Moon, CAUSA, to become members of his AFC (American Freedom Coalition) organization. In March of 1988, Sills appeared on Trinity Broadcasting Networks flagship program "Praise the Lord" warning people away from listening to 'cult watch groups', being concerned for the division and fear they may bring. Of course these anti-cult groups tell us that since Moon claims Jesus will worship at Moons feet, and inflicts mind control techniques over his followers, his religion is a cult that should by all means be avoided and certainly watched. Paul Crouch is another who seems to shy away from the overall doctrine espoused on his "Christian" television network, and appears to work for religious unification. The Tangled Web Revealed... The Council for National Policy We touched on this council in Part 1, but now we shall take a closer look at it and its members. This group was founded by Tim LaHaye in 1981. Again we have shown definite ties between this "Christian" organization and the Rev. Moons openly anti-Christ organizations. This will be addressed later more fully, but this group is also associated heavily with the controversial and cultic Church of Scientology, the John Birch Society (known for its espionage work), and the intelligence community. (Note: we attempted to get JBS board member lists but the Society returned a response that it was their policy not to reveal names of its board members). It was stated by Congressman Woody Jenkins (Newsweek,1981) "I predict that one day before the end of this century the Council [for National Policy] will be so influential that no President, regardless of party or philosophy, will be able to ignore us or our concerns or shut us out of the highest levels of government." In October, 1999 George W. Bush addressed the CNP. His campaign refused to release the full text of his remarks. Why the secrecy?? Beverly LaHaye, as was previously noted, is the wife of Tim LaHaye. She also was and still may be part of the CNP, and also founder of Concerned Women for America. She joined forces with Citizens Council on Human Rights, a group affiliated with Scientology, and Gary Bauer's Family Research Council, which has benefited as well from Rev. Moon organizations and money. This all under the umbrella of social change and "Christian family values" in America. Mrs. LaHaye and Bauer appeared and spoke together in a 1995 rally against psychiatric practices on children. The question is, regardless of a good cause, is it necessary for these evangelical leaders to join forces with Moon, Scientology and the Intelligence community? It doesn't take a rocket scientist to recognize that many groups use charitable giving/participation, patriotic associations and demonstrations of community or national good will to obfuscate their true objectives and agenda, or to conceal and deflect attention from their wrong-doing. LaHayes group, the Council for National Policy, is just one example of evangelical organizations being filled with Intelligence officers, Moon representatives and Scientology members. To name all the members who were and are involved in the intelligence community and cults would take too long here, but here are just a few; (5) * Howard Ahmanson Jr. (CNP Board of Governors) Contributed to the Council of Foreign Relations according to their 1990-1993 reports * Thomas R. Graduate of the fuller Theological Seminary, and member of the Religious Roundtable. Bo Hi Pak has praised the union between these Christian organizations and Moonie orgs saying "...it shows what a great since of humor God has." Grants "Christian Voice" claims to be the nations largest Christian lobby, and according to the Philadelphia Inquirer, merged with Moon in 1987. * Sen. Jesse helms (CNP Board of Governors) also of the Religious Roundtable, endorser of the Moon owned Washington times, and a member of the Council for Foreign Relations(CFR). * Max Hugel (CNP Member) Former special assistant CIA Deputy Director for Administration, and Deputy Director for Operations * Jack Kemp (CNP Member) Co Director of Empower American, whose board is dominated by the Council of Foreign Relations(CFR). * Alan Keyes (CNP Member) Former Ambassador to the United Nations. He was also part of Reagans National Security Team which was dominated by high level Council of Foreign Relations men(CFR). * Edwin Meese (CNP Executive Committee, CNP President) Former Attorney General, former Chief of Staff Notice that many mentioned, (as well as many not mentioned) are members of the CFR (Council for Foreign Relations). This is a group espousing the New World Order and have actively and openly worked toward it for decades. Not surprisingly, the man who popularized the phrase "New World Order," George Bush Sr, was also at one time head of the CFR. A reminder that some of the evangelical members of the CNP have included: Beverly and Lee LaHaye, also associated with Moons CWA group. Gary Bauer, Bill Bright, James Dobson (Focus On The Family), Bob Dugan, Ron Godwin, Robert Grant, Rebecca Hagelin, Bob Jones the 3rd (Bob Jones University), Alan Keyes (Outspoken ultra-conservative black talk show host and author), Dr. D. James Kennedy (noted television evangelist and Pastor), Peter Marshall, Sam Moore of Thomas Nelson Publishing, Pat Robertson (founder of the Christian Broadcasting Network and former Presidential aspirant), Rev. Duane Motley, Ralph Reed, Oliver North (formerly with the National Security Council), Phyllis Schlafly (ultra-right columnist and pundit), Rev. Jim Woodall, John Ankerberg (internationally recognized Christian television personality), Rev. E.V. Hill, James Robison, Pat Boone, Larry Burkett, Reed Larson, and many others.(5) So now we must ask ourselves why are these people associated together under the front of "Christian" organizations? Is it merely coincidence? To assume such is to be remarkably naive and woefully remiss in learning the lessons of past history. By comparing the members of the CNP and cross referencing them with any large Christian or Moon organization, and many of the politically right-wing PAC (Political Action Committee) organizations, you will find essentially that these organizations are made up of the same people. Is this a ruse, to draw evangelical believers and right wing patriots into the NWO? It certainly seems to be. Moon states his goal is to unify the worlds religions thereby unifying the world. Bo Hi Pak states; "We want to awaken the world. We want to turn the tide [so] that this totalitarian, godless system must go....It is a total war. Basically a war of ideas." (6) These organizations work together tightly, and nearly every major evangelical name that can be named is involved with these apostate organizations, fleecing their sheep in order to help fund these groups; A large number of these "great men of God" can be found living in palatial homes, driving exorbitantly expensive automobiles and owning personal jets and relishing accolades as great teachers of the faith. These men seem more like the Pharisees of Jesus' day, who denied Him as well, yet 40 years later came to their destruction following a false messiah. They speak at each others functions, support one another monetarily, and cause many to believe that they do it in the name of God and in harmony with God's will (many claiming direct divine revelation, inspiration and in some cases unquestionable supernatural authority). The Bible they themselves espouse refers to them as hirelings. Full acceptance into the mainstream of American religious life is a cherished goal of Sun Myung Moon's Unification Church. Ironically, Moon's recent imprisonment for tax evasion appears to be bringing that dream a step closer to reality. "Religious freedom" rallies around the country are drawing thousands of unsuspecting Christians into emotionally charged meetings that portray Moon as a persecuted man of God. No ties with the Unification Church are mentioned in promotional mailings. The sponsors are identified as a coalition of Christian leaders including author Tim LaHaye; Robert Grant, of Christian Voice; and Joseph Lowery, of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference. Greg Dixon and Everett Sileven, leaders of a coalition of independent, fundamentalist churches, are involved as well. The sponsors view Moon as a persecuted ally in an escalating battle against secular humanism and government intrusion into church ministries. "One person's religious freedom equates to everyone's religious freedom," LaHaye says. "If one person's freedom is robbed, then potentially anyone's religious freedom can be robbed." Whether Moon is a victim of persecution or a felon is a matter of considerable debate. There is little doubt, however, that the entire affair is a public relations bonanza for his church. Darrel Malcom, senior pastor of Webber Street Church of Christ in Urbana, Illinois, accepted an offer for an expense-paid trip to Washington, D.C., to attend the massive "Pageant for Religious Freedom" on July 25. He learned of the event from two Unification Church members in Urbana. Their involvement gave him pause, but he says he accepted their invitation because he respects LaHaye. LaHaye is cochairman of the Coalition on Religious Freedom, the group that sponsored the event. Malcom says he enjoyed the lavish production, but returned home feeling "a little bit used." "I felt there was a hidden agenda of trying to buy legitimacy [for Moon] within the Christian community. I'm not ready to grant that." When Malcom returned home, Unification Church members asked him to consider sponsoring a local rally in support of Moon. "They wanted to meet and discuss getting Christians together," he says. "I said I do not consider their group Christian." A narrator introduced actors portraying heroes of American religious history. At the end, a melodramatic enactment of Moon's trial and sentencing drew a chorus of boos and hisses for his prosecutor and sustained cheers for Moon. Following the performance, LaHaye spoke to the audience. "If we have the same percentage of religious freedom attacks in the next 15 years as we have had in the past 15 years, we'll no longer have religious freedom in America," he said. LaHaye did not mention Moon by name. The evening's dramatic climax came when Moon's daughter, In Jin Moon, choked back tears as she spoke of her father. "I have almost never seen my father sleep. He is always up working and praying. I have never seen anyone so dedicated to America's dream and to God." She read a statement prepared by Moon for the gathering. It referred to America as God's final hope, "his precious jewel which he prepared for the final battle against atheistic communism in the last days." Moon's statement emphasized the need for churches to unite-a central theme of Unification teaching. "Here in prison God can use me to awaken America more powerfully than ever before. America's religious communities must be united to preserve religious freedom." Chris Nauser, a 36-year-old Moonie from Switzerland, viewed the rally as "just one part of the whole development of an awakening" that will sweep the world. He shares the belief of most of Moon's followers that Moon himself is the Messiah. The Unification Church teaches that Jesus Christ failed in his redemptive mission and, before his death, lied about his coming resurrection. Moonies teach that mankind is in need of physical redemption, which will come by the marriage of an ideal man and woman. The man is to be from Korea-Moon himself.

Luciferianism: The Religion of Apotheosis

Luciferianism constitutes the nucleus of the ruling class religion. While there are definitely political and economic rationales for elite criminality, Luciferianism can account for the longevity of many of the oligarchs' projects. Many of the longest and most brutal human endeavors have been underpinned by some form of religious zealotry. The Crusades testify to this historical fact. Likewise, the power elite's ongoing campaign to establish a socialist totalitarian global government has Luciferianism to thank for both its longevity and frequently violent character. In the mind of the modern oligarch, Luciferianism provides religious legitimacy for otherwise morally questionable plans.

Luciferianism is the product of religious engineering, which sociologist William Sims Bainbridge defines as "the conscious, systematic, skilled creation of a new religion" ("New Religions, Science, and Secularization," no pagination). In actuality, this is a tradition that even precedes Bainbridge. It has been the practice of Freemasonry for years. It was also the practice of Masonry's religious and philosophical progenitors, the ancient pagan Mystery cults. The inner doctrines of the Mesopotamian secret societies provided the theological foundations for the Christian and Judaic heresies, Kabbalism and Gnosticism. All modern Luciferian philosophy finds "scientific" legitimacy in the Gnostic myth of Darwinism. As evolutionary thought was popularized, variants of Luciferianism were popularized along with it (particularly in the form of secular humanism, which shall be examined shortly). A historical corollary of this popularization has been the rise of several cults and mass movements, exemplified by the various mystical sects and gurus of the sixties counterculture. The metastasis of Luciferian thinking continues to this very day.

Luciferianism represents a radical revaluation of humanity's ageless adversary: Satan. It is the ultimate inversion of good and evil. The formula for this inversion is reflected by the narrative paradigm of the Gnostic Hypostasis myth. As opposed to the original Biblical version, the Gnostic account represents a "revaluation of the Hebraic story of the first man's temptation, the desire of mere men to 'be as gods' by partaking of the tree of the 'knowledge of good and evil'" (Raschke 26). Carl Raschke elaborates:

In The Hypostasis of the Archons, an Egyptian Gnostic document, we read how the traditional story of man's disobedience toward God is reinterpreted as a universal conflict between "knowledge" (gnosis) and the dark "powers" (exousia) of the world, which bind the human soul in ignorance. The Hypostasis describes man as a stepchild of Sophia ("Wisdom") created according to the "model" of aion, the imperishable realm of eternity. On the other hand, it is neither God the Imperishable nor Sophia who actually is responsible in the making of man. On the contrary, the task is undertaken by the archons, the demonic powers who, because of their "weakness," entrap man in a material body and thus cut him off from his blessed origin. They place him in paradise and enjoin him against eating of the tree of knowledge. The prohibition, however, is viewed by the author of the text not as a holy command but as a malignant effort on the part of the inferior spirits to prevent Adam from having true communion with the High God, from gaining authentic gnosis. (26)

According to this bowdlerization, Adam is consistently contacted by the High God in hopes of reinitiating man's quest for gnosis (26). The archons intervene and create Eve to distract Adam from the pursuit of gnosis (26-27). However, this Gnostic Eve is actually a "sort of 'undercover' agent for the High God, who is charged with divulging to Adam the truth that has been withheld from him" (27). The archons manage to sabotage this covert operation by facilitating sexual intercourse between Adam and Eve, an act that Gnostics contend was designed to defile the "woman's spiritual nature" (27). At this juncture, the Hypostasis reintroduces a familiar antagonist from the original Genesis account:

But now the principle of feminine wisdom reappears in the form of the serpent, called the "Instructor," who tells the mortal pair to defy the prohibition of the archons and eat of the tree of knowledge. (27)

The serpent successfully entices Adam and Eve to eat the forbidden fruit, but the "bodily defilement" of the woman prevents man from understanding the true motive underpinning the act (27). Thus, humanity is fettered by the archons' "curse", suggesting that the "orthodox theological view of the violation of the command as 'sin' must be regarded anew as the mindless failure to commit the act rightly in the first place" (27). In this revisionist context, the serpent is no longer Satan, but is an "incognito savior" instead (27). Meanwhile, God's role as benevolent Heavenly Father is vilified:

The God of Genesis, who comes to reprimand Adam and Eve after their transgression, is rudely caricatured in this tale as the "Arrogant archon" who opposes the will of the authentic heavenly father. (27)

Of course, within this Gnostic narrative, God incarnate is equally belittled. Jesus Christ, the Word made flesh, is reduced to little more than a forerunner of the coming Gnostic adept. According to the Gnostic mythology, Jesus was but a mere "type" of this perfect man (27). He came as a "teacher and an exemplar, to show others the path to illumination" (27-28). The true messiah has yet to come. Equally, the serpent is only a precursor to this messiah. He only initiates man's journey towards gnosis. The developmental voyage must be further facilitated by the serpent's predecessor, the Gnostic Christ. The Hypostasis provides the paradigmatic template for all Luciferian mythologies.

Like the Hypostasis, the binary opposition of Luciferian mythology caricatures Jehovah as an oppressive tyrant. He becomes the "archon of arrogance," the embodiment of ignorance and religious superstition. Satan, who retains his heavenly title of Lucifer, is the liberator of humanity. Masonry, which acts as the contemporary retainer for the ancient Mystery religion, reconceptualizes Satan in a similar fashion. In Morals and Dogma, 33rd degree Freemason Albert Pike candidly exalts the fallen angel:

LUCIFER, the Light-bearer! Strange and mysterious name to give to the Spirit of Darkness! Lucifer, the Son of the Morning! Is it he who bears the Light, and with its splendors intolerable blinds feeble, sensual, or selfish Souls? Doubt it not. (321)

He makes man aware of his own innate divinity and promises to unlock the god within us all. This theme of apotheosis underpinned both Gnosticism and the pagan Mystery religions. While Gnosticism's origins with the Ancient Mystery cults remains a source of contention amongst scholars, its promises of liberation from humanity's material side is strongly akin to the old pagan Mystery's variety of "psychic therapy" (28). In addition, the Ancient Mystery religion promised the:

opportunity to erase the curse of mortality by direct encounter with the patron deity, or in many instances by actually undergoing an apotheosis, a transfiguration of human into divine (28).

Like some varieties of Satanism, Luciferianism does not depict the devil as a literal metaphysical entity. Lucifer only symbolizes the cognitive powers of man. He is the embodiment of science and reason. It is the Luciferian's religious conviction that these two facilitative forces will dethrone God and apotheosize man. It comes as little surprise that the radicals of the early revolutionary faith celebrated the arrival of Darwinism. Evolutionary theory was the edifying "science" of Promethean zealotry and the new secular religion of the scientific dictatorship. According to Masonic scholar Wilmshurst, the completion of human evolution involves man "becoming a god-like being and unifying his consciousness with the Omniscient" (94).

During the Enlightenment, Luciferianism was disseminated on the popular level as secular humanism. All of the governing precepts of Luciferianism are encompassed by secular humanism. This is made evident by the philosophy's rejection of theistic morality and enthronement of man as his own absolute moral authority. While Luciferianism has no sacred texts, Humanist Manifesto III succinctly delineate its central tenets. Whittaker Chambers, former member of the communist underground in America, eloquently summarizes this truth: and

"Humanism is not new. It is, in fact, man's second oldest faith. Its promise was whispered in the first days of Creation under the Tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil: 'Ye shall be as gods.'" (Qutd. in Baker 206)

Transhumanism offers an updated, hi-tech variety of Luciferianism. The appellation "Transhumanism" was coined by evolutionary biologist Julian Huxley ("Transhumanism," Wikipedia: The Free Encyclopedia, no pagination). Huxley defined the transhuman condition as "man remaining man, but transcending himself, by realizing new possibilities of and for his human nature" (no pagination). However, by 1990, Dr. Max More would radically redefine Transhumanism as follows:

Transhumanism is a class of philosophies that seek to guide us towards a posthuman condition. Transhumanism shares many elements of humanism, including a respect for reason and science, a commitment to progress, and a valuing of human (or transhuman) existence in this life… Transhumanism differs from humanism in recognizing and anticipating the radical alterations in the nature and possibilities of our lives resulting from various sciences and technologies… (No pagination)

Transhumanism advocates the use of nanotechnology, biotechnology, cognitive science, and information technology to propel humanity into a "posthuman" condition. Once he has arrived at this condition, man will cease to be man. He will become a machine, immune to death and all the other "weaknesses" intrinsic to his former human condition. The ultimate objective is to become a god. Transhumanism is closely aligned with the cult of artificial intelligence. In the very influential book The Age of Spiritual Machines, AI high priest Ray Kurzweil asserts that technological immortality could be achieved through magnetic resonance imaging or some technique of reading and replicating the human brain's neural structure within a computer ("Technological Immortality," no pagination). Through the merger of computers and humans, Kurzweil believes that man will "become god-like spirits inhabiting cyberspace as well as the material universe" (no pagination).

Following the Biblical revisionist tradition of the Gnostic Hypostasis myth, Transhumanists invert the roles of God and Satan. In an essay entitled "In Praise of the Devil," Transhumanist ideologue Max More depicts Lucifer as a heroic rebel against a tyrannical God:

The Devil—Lucifer—is a force for good (where I define 'good' simply as that which I value, not wanting to imply any universal validity or necessity to the orientation). 'Lucifer' means 'light-bringer' and this should begin to clue us in to his symbolic importance. The story is that God threw Lucifer out of Heaven because Lucifer had started to question God and was spreading dissension among the angels. We must remember that this story is told from the point of view of the Godists (if I may coin a term) and not from that of the Luciferians (I will use this term to distinguish us from the official Satanists with whom I have fundamental differences). The truth may just as easily be that Lucifer resigned from heaven. (No pagination)

According to More, Lucifer probably exiled himself out of moral outrage towards the oppressive Jehovah:

God, being the well-documented sadist that he is, no doubt wanted to keep Lucifer around so that he could punish him and try to get him back under his (God's) power. Probably what really happened was that Lucifer came to hate God's kingdom, his sadism, his demand for slavish conformity and obedience, his psychotic rage at any display of independent thinking and behavior. Lucifer realized that he could never fully think for himself and could certainly not act on his independent thinking so long as he was under God's control. Therefore he left Heaven, that terrible spiritual-State ruled by the cosmic sadist Jehovah, and was accompanied by some of the angels who had had enough courage to question God's authority and his value-perspective. More proceeds to reiterate 33rd Degree Mason Albert Pike's depiction of Lucifer:

Lucifer is the embodiment of reason, of intelligence, of critical thought. He stands against the dogma of God and all other dogmas. He stands for the exploration of new ideas and new perspectives in the pursuit of truth. (No pagination)

Lucifer is even considered a patron saint by some Transhumanists ("Transtopian Symbolism," no pagination). Transhumanism retains the paradigmatic character of Luciferianism, albeit in a futurist context. Worse still, Transhumanism is hardly some marginalized cult. Richard Hayes, executive director of the Center for Genetics and Society, elaborates:

Last June at Yale University, the World Transhumanist Association held its first national conference. The Transhumanists have chapters in more than 20 countries and advocate the breeding of "genetically enriched" forms of "post-human" beings. Other advocates of the new techno-eugenics, such as Princeton University professor Lee Silver, predict that by the end of this century, "All aspects of the economy, the media, the entertainment industry, and the knowledge industry [will be] controlled by members of the GenRich class. . .Naturals [will] work as low-paid service providers or as laborers. . ." With a growing body of academic luminaries and a techno-eugenical vision for the future, Transhumanism is carrying the banner of Luciferianism into the 21st century. Through genetic engineering and biotechnological augmentation of the physical body, Transhumanists are attempting to achieve the very same objective of their patron saint.

I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. (Isaiah 14:13-14)

This declaration reflects the aspirations of the power elite as well. Whatever form the Luciferian religion assumes throughout the years, its goal remains the same: Apotheosis.
